The conversion started dropping
Profession.hu is Hungary’s heavyweight job portal, but even market leaders leave money on the table.
They had built a smart, algorithm-based Product Recommendation System to help recruiters pick the right service packages.
The issue? The engine was brilliant, but the steering wheel was broken. The UX/UI was confusing users, causing recruiters to bounce instead of buying.
They needed an interface that was as smart as their algorithm to stop the leak.
So I did this
I stepped in to lead a cross-functional team, treating the project like a digital intervention. We didn’t just paint over the cracks; we rebuilt the core experience.
Step 1: Diagnosing the friction. We mapped the recruiter’s journey to pinpoint exactly where the old interface was driving them crazy.
Result: We secured a clear hit list of issues: users didn't understand the product and didn't trust it, and we pinpointed specific usability nightmares that were killing the sales.
Step 2: Designing for absolute clarity. We built trust by letting users know the advantages of the product. Then we took the algorithm’s outputs and translated them into a dead-simple, intuitive UI.
Result: Visible value proposition and a frictionless, logical user flow that naturally guided recruiters straight to the right purchase.
Step 3: The strategic handoff. We finalised the assets and delivered a complete, optimised design to their developers.
Result: A perfect design handover that left zero room for guesswork. Everyone knew how to implement the new designs.

The success formula
Frictionless, psychology-backed UX flow ➔ The recommendation tool became instantly intuitive for recruiters to use.
Eliminated the confusing roadblocks ➔ User drop-off rates started to decrease.
Conversion-obsessed design ➔ They launched an A/B test, and even though their team initially developed the site with older visual components, the new UX logic was so powerful that their conversion rates still spiked within the first few months.
